I’m Matías Monzalvo, and I made Weekly. Somewhere along the way, putting our lives online stopped being about what happened and started being about what looked good — we learned to post the version of the week worth showing and to leave out the rest, which is most of it. Weekly is my attempt at the opposite: a grid is a gallery of a real week, yours alone or filled together with other people, where nothing has to come out perfect and the shape you give each one is yours to decide. That is where the creativity actually lives. And if you keep making them, week after week, they add up to something a feed can never give you — a place where, years from now, you can go looking for a memory and actually find it.
